Zero Tolerance Policy

Our practice has a zero-tolerance policy for abusive or threatening behaviour. The practice does not tolerate any behaviour, verbal or physical which causes staff to feel uncomfortable, embarrassed or threatened. Any patient, visitor or person accompanying the patient who fails to comply may be asked to leave the practice, be banned from our practice and to seek medical care elsewhere.

During a consultation if you require additional help a telephone interpreter can be provided.
City West Medical Centre has a reminder system in place through our medical program.
There are reminders from the Government sent to you to remind you of immunisations, pap smears and Breast Screening.

Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of City West Medical Centre to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised staff members.

Electronic Communication

Communication with patients via electronic means (Fax or Email) is conducted with appropriate regards to the privacy laws relating to health information and confidentiality of the patients health information. Patients can request our written policy on receiving and returning electronic communication. All emails are first seen by the Practice Manager and then allocated to the relevant doctor. All faxes and emails constitute an official record and will be part of the patient's medical record.
